Kualitas Kontak sebagai Prediktor pada Sikap terhadap Penyandang Disabilitas Intelektual

Kontak berkaitan dengan sikap terhadap penyandang disabilitas intelektual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur daya prediksi dari kualitas kontak pada sikap terhadap penyandang disabilitas intelektual dan mendeskripsikan sikap masyarakat Indonesia terhadap penyandang disabilitas intelektual. Partisipan merupakan 341 Warga Negara Indonesia berusia minimal 18 tahun. Partisipan mengerjakan kuesioner: ATTID-SF, sub-tes kualitas kontak pada Contact and Knowledge about Intellectual Disability Scale, dan kuesioner demografis. ATTID-SF mengukur lima faktor —pengetahuan atas faktor penyebab, pengetahuan atas kemampuan dan hak, ketidaknyamanan, kepekaan atau kelembutan, dan interaksi. Secara umum, partisipan memiliki sikap yang positif terhadap penyandang disabilitas intelektual kecuali pada faktor kepekaan atau kelembutan. Hasil regresi linear menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kontak yang lebih tinggi memprediksi sikap yang lebih positif. Oleh karena itu, pembuat program dan kampanye sebaiknya meningkatkan kualitas kontak guna meningkatkan sikap positif terhadap penyandang disabilitas intelektual.
