Musicians’ Music Performance Anxiety in Indonesia

Kecemasan yang dialami musisi ketika melakukan pertunjukan musik dapat memengaruhi kualitas pertunjukan. Namun, perhatian mengenai kecemasan pertunjukan musik (MPA) ini masih kurang. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan tingkat MPA pada musisi di Indonesia berdasarkan jenis kelamin, jenis alat musik, persiapan pertunjukan, format pertunjukan, dan format acara. Penelitian ini merupakan survei cross-sectional, dengan menggunakan instrumen Kenny Music Performance Anxiety Inventory-Revised (K-MPAI-R). Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 237 musisi Indonesia yang pernah melakukan pertunjukan musik. Analisis independent sample t-test dan uji ANOVA dilakukan untuk menguji perbedaan tingkat MPA. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan terdapat perbedaan tingkat MPA pada musisi di Indonesia berdasarkan jenis kelamin (t(235)=-4,02; p<0,001), jenis alat musik (F(6, 230)=2,78; p=0.013), frekuensi latihan (F(2, 234)=5.11; p=0.007), dan durasi latihan (F(2, 234)=5,92; p=0,003), sedangkan format pertunjukan dan format acara tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Temuan ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk mengembangkan strategi penanganan kecemasan pertunjukan musik.
