About APSILANGGA

History and Overview of APSILANGGA

The Faculty of Psychology at Airlangga University has an alumni association called APSILANGGA (Airlangga University Psychology Alumni). APSILANGGA, both its administrators and alumni, carries out various activities. Alumni of the Faculty of Psychology at Airlangga University are actively involved in various university-organized activities, particularly those organized by the UA Alumni Association (IKA UA) and the Faculty of Psychology itself. APSILANGGA, as a communication forum for alumni, was officially established in 2003 through the National Alumni Conference (Mukernas) held at the Surabaya Hilton Hotel, when it was still known as IKA-PSIKOLOGI UNAIR. In 2008, through the Third Mukernas, the organization changed its name to APSILANGGA.

In addition to serving as a communication platform, APSILANGGA has successfully established itself as a platform for the self-development of alumni, students, and the wider community. Seminars and training programs held by APSILANGGA, along with information on various job openings disseminated through the alumni blog and the faculty’s official website, serve as effective platforms for the academic and non-academic development of alumni, students, and the wider community. In fact, in recent developments, APSILANGGA has collaborated with HIMPSI East Java to act as a liaison to improve psychodiagnostic skills and professional insight for alumni, students, and the wider community. APSILANGGA has also built a social network to sharpen social awareness for the wider community and fellow alumni, by raising funds and providing financial assistance to those in need.
